Adult Programming/Professional Develpment

Upon request Turn Back Time offers professional development for educators and adult workshops for groups.

Turn Back Time takes our mission very seriously and would like to help other educators understand the how and why of nature based education.

Some professional development opportunities include: using emergent curriculum in the classroom, learning about risk/hazard management when working with children outdoors and working with children with challenging behaviors in an outdoor setting. We can customize our workshops to your team.

Do you have a group that would like to spend some time on the farm or perhaps do some team building workshops? See workshop samples below and contact us to schedule your event. Women’s Wellness

Women’s Wellness Series are a kind of nourishment for our minds, bodies, and souls. They have recently included art therapy, movement, mindful practice, guided meditation, and forest bathing time. We hold a circle of brief sharing and simply aim to spend time connecting to nature and one another in heart centered ways. This series is dynamic and subject to change as the seasons unfold, but these gatherings are meant to hold space for women to come together, connect to nature, to find strength in our community, and engage in inspiring and relaxing activities that help us realign with our centers and purpose.

Yoga

Outdoor yoga on the farm is regularly scheduled for the warmer months, typically on Saturday mornings in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. There is nothing quite like moving our bodies and releasing tensions in the wide open air and sunshine! This includes sound healing (both from the natural world and crystal bowls), which is truly a delight.

Foraging and Mushrooming

To inspire a love for nature through appreciation of wild foods and medicines available for us in nature. Rachel Goclawski is a Massachusetts Certified Educator, Wild Foods Foraging Guide, and Programming Partner with Turn Back Time.  “This love will inspire us to be stewards of our natural world. When a child or adult learns self-reliance skills, he/she gains self-esteem and becomes more capable to help and inspire others. These are the basic truths that inspire me to do what I do with ‘Cooking with Mrs. G’” Rachel Goclawski.
